Puff Party Pillow Class Part 2



Join us for a Puff Pillow Party!

We will learn how to quilt the puff quilt top from Class 1 using hand ties before turning the puffs into a pillow cover using the envelope backing technique from
The Quilting Book. Note* You must have taken class 1 to participate in this class. If you have not taken class 1 click here to register.

Please arrive ready to sew with the required tools and materials.


TOOLS (required):

  • A copy of The Quilting Book (available for purchase at Hoops and Needles)

  • Sewing machine

  • Pins or quilting clips

  • Snips

  • Seam ripper

  • Thimble 

  • Basting pins or basting spray

  • Iron and pressing mat

  • Needle and thread for hand binding (optional)


Materials for Puff Pillow with Envelope Backing:

  • Puff Quilt Top from Puff Party Class 1

  • At least 20 yards of 8wt thread, yarn, or embroidery floss for hand ties

  • 20 ½” x 20 ½” scrap light or neutral fabric for puff top backing

  • 20 ½” x 20 ½” scrap batting (optional)

  • (2) 15” x 20” envelope pillow backing 

  • (3) 2 ½” x WOF strips for binding

  • 18" x 18" or 20" x 20" pillow form

WE WILL SUPPLY:

  • Large eye embroidery or upholstery needles


Note* A minimum of 6 students is required for this class to meet. If a class is canceled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund or you can be rescheduled to a later class.


Requirements: Students must have taken class 1 the Puff Party class to enroll in this class the Puff Pillow Party.
Instructor: Christina & Kacey
Instructor Bio: Christina West and Kacey Crutchfield are quilters based in the Dallas area. Christina is a quilt pattern designer behind Kindred Quilt Co, where she publishes modern quilt patterns, and Kacey is a quilt pattern technical editor at Kacey Crutchfield Consulting. With over twenty years of experience quilting and sewing, the creative duo bring a modern and technical approach to piecing and quilting in The Quilting Book.
