Intro To Fashion Sewing 102: Understanding Patterns - VIRTUAL CLASS
Note* THIS IS A VIRTUAL GARMENT CONSTRUCTION CLASS
In part 2 of our Intro To Fashion course we will simplify the process of mastering the use of commercial and indie patterns, and eliminate any confusion associated with pattern terminology and comprehension.
Students will learn to:
- Read Patterns
- Transfer Markings
- Choose the right pattern size for your body type
Materials: Students will need (2) yards of fabric, (1) fat quarter, and (1) 7" zipper
Note* A minimum of 3 virtual students is required for this class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will be rescheduled to a later class.

| Skill Details: | You must know the basics of the sewing machine. How to thread it, wind the bobbin, and comfortably sew in a straight line. If you're not comfortable with these skills then please register for our Sewing Machine Basics class. |

| Requirements: | Students must be ages 16+ |

| Instructor Bio: | Mia Green serves as the Director of Education at Hoops & Needles, bringing years of experience in teaching the art of sewing to both adults and children through dynamic in-person and online classes. She has partnered with cities across Texas to lead engaging summer sewing programs and fashion camps for youth, as well as professional development and team-building workshops for adults. Now as part of the Hoops & Needles team, Mia is excited to offer her expertise in garment sewing to customers through a variety of in-person and virtual class experiences. |
