(Kids) Learn To Sew: Skirts
This class will teach kids how to use their measurements to create a basic skirt pattern that will be used to sew a ruffle skirt.
All students must know the basics of sewing if not please click here to register for our Kids Sewing Machine Basics Class before signing up for this one.
Class Project: Students will draft and sew a basic ruffle skirt.
Note* A minimum of 2 students is required for this class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund or you can be rescheduled to a later class.

| Skill Details: | You must know the basics of the sewing machine. How to thread it, wind the bobbin, and comfortably sew in a straight line. If you're not comfortable with these skills then please register for our Sewing Machine Basics class. |
| Materials Included: | 1 1/2 yards of cotton fabric and 1 yard of 1 elastic |
| Requirements: | Students must be ages 9-15 |

| Instructor Bio: | Mia Green serves as the Director of Education at Hoops & Needles, bringing years of experience in teaching the art of sewing to both adults and children through dynamic in-person and online classes. She has partnered with cities across Texas to lead engaging summer sewing programs and fashion camps for youth, as well as professional development and team-building workshops for adults. Now as part of the Hoops & Needles team, Mia is excited to offer her expertise in garment sewing to customers through a variety of in-person and virtual class experiences. |
