When we began our business in 1984, we quickly realized we were going to need a source for framing our needlework.  My education began.  Not only did I love this new aspect of the business, I excelled in it!  I researched different methods and developed over the years the best conservation and archival techniques of needlework framing around.

We believe in lacing needlework.  The fabric is a breathable medium which expands and contracts according to the weather.  We needed a method for that.  Lacing was an old method, outdated with the invention of "glue"...but very much back in vogue.  Needlework takes time...time is precious...and the method of preservation must be lasting.  Through the years the availabilty of the conservation materials became easier.  We use acid free mounting boards as well as acid free mats.  The different colors have become endless.

We use many different sources for our frames.  We also do framing in prefinished wood mediums such as trays and boxes as well.

We have expanded over the years into all realms of custom framing including prints, paintings, posters, articles of interest, including football, hockey and baseball shirts!  We frame diplomas, certificates and all types of  photographs.

I am always encouraging you to document your needlework as well as all your photos.  Needlework should be signed (initials or full name) and dated, at least with the year.  Attached a  small envelope to the back with your name and "statistics" and a small photo of you at the time.  If you choose to be more creative; when you stitched the piece and some anecdotal background will always keep the "history" right with the framed piece.  So many people will bring in an old photo or old piece of needlework and tell me they wish they knew more about it.  We are creating "history" every day and must take the time to document it.
